Parking Surface Maintenance & Repair

Parking surfaces, both ground level and elevated, are a constant source of maintenance problems. Asphalt cracks, potholes, and unprotected concrete cracks and spalls both need re-striping at regular intervals. Concrete slabs, both on grade and elevated decks, are particularly problematic due to the reinforcing steel in the concrete rusting, expanding, and causing cracking and spalling, ultimately leading to structural issues in addition to leaking in multi-level parking decks. Repairs at that point in time can be very time consuming and expensive.

Industrial Coatings

Industrial coatings are a "different breed of cat," requiring specialized application techniques due to the types of substrates being coated and the coatings themselves, often multi-component products requiring special equipment and know-how to achieve the desired results. Also critical to a successful industrial coatings application is surface preparation. Due to the often aggressive environments of industrial settings, oxidation and other surface contaminants are common and require special techniques to prepare the surfaces for coatings application.

Medical & Health Care Facilities

Medical and Health care facilities present at least two challenges not found in the customary commercial workplace, one logistical, and one environmental. From a logistical standpoint, it is necessary to work around the hours of both the staff and patients, being unobtrusive as possible and not interfering with the normal flow of traffic for all. This ordinarily entails working after regular business hours and, often during what are typically third shift hours, coordinating with staff to cause as little disruption to everyone's scheduling as possible. Environmentally, when working in or around health care facilities, it is very important to be conscious of the dangers of solvent-based materials, due not only to the unpleasant odors associated with them but the danger of respiratory problems for already fragile patients.
